On 3 October 2023, Human Rights House Foundation called attention to efforts to reduce or erase civic space across the OSCE region during a statement at the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference.

On 3 October 2023, Human Rights House Foundation hosted “Protecting and expanding civic space in the OSCE region”, a side event at the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference. The side event was co-sponsored by the Belarusian Human Rights House, as well as Human Rights Houses Banja Luka and Yerevan.

From 12-15 June 2023, 20 participants from the Network of Human Rights Houses gathered in Vilnius, Lithuania, for “From Idea to Impact”, a workshop organised by Human Rights House Foundation focused on designing and implementing impactful human rights projects. The workshop was co-funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union.

Human Rights House Banja Luka has joined the network of Human Rights Houses as its newest member. The House will play a crucial role in promoting and protecting human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.

On day two of the #HRHN2016 Assembly, the Human Rights Houses, joined by external experts, discussed the growing trend toward illiberal democracy, autocracy, and populism, and proposed solutions for how civil society can resist this trend.

On the 12 of July at the UN, high-level representatives from States, civil society and the private sector discussed the human rights situation in the world. There was also a first televised live debate with the candidates for Secretary General at the United Nations, which was open for questions from the public.
